Chirashi Don are beautiful dishes. Well, actually they aren't dishes at all and really just a bowl consisting of select slices of fish arranged in a beautiful display of Japanese art.
When Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada came across a Mitsuwa, he was excited to see what was inside to enjoy a nice meal but unfortunately, this particular Mitsuwa was much smaller in size compared to the one in Torrance, so the only way to enjoy the really nice fish is to prepare it in the car, hence the "ghetto" term.
The items altogether came out to around $80 so it wasn't cheap by any means for one portion. The taste was out of this world, and although it wasn't' the best place to enjoy an expensive lunch, the individual parts of the bowl were fantastic.

About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on YouTube.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989.
